Share Note*

You will notice some small holes in the leaves of the Arugula and Boc Choy. This is cosmetic damage only and will not affect the flavor. This is caused by a tiny insect that comes out when is it hot. We do our best to keep them out by covering the produce with a cloth called row covering but, they still do manage to get under to the plants.

Dear Tuesday CSA Groups, It is such a good feeling to get started. If you needed to have another email added to this crop harvest list please use this link to add it.. Your first pickup is this coming Tuesday, June 6th! I have included your season schedule by clicking here. Please add the dates to your calendar. It is time to get your salad spinners out! (if you don't have one you should get one. I promise this will be your favorite new kitchen gadget) Greens will fill the bulk of your box this week. It has been a long winter and, I don’t know about you but, I am ready for a fresh salad! This week you will be getting red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce. If you are planning on how to eat up your share you will want to use the red leaf lettuce first. The green leaf always lasts the longest. You will also be getting Radishes, Boc Choy along with, a few other varieties of lettuce & greens. Enjoy some Stir Fry, and Salads this week! Also coming in your share is a basil transplant. This can be transplanted into a larger pot and placed in a warm sunny place. (water as needed) This is great to have on hand when cooking. Simply harvest a few leaves as needed allowing the plant to keep growing. This week we are sending the coffee and dry bean shares for the month of June. If you ordered these please don't forget to pick them up with your vegetables. We are looking forward to a bountiful growing season! Thank you for being a part of the CSA! Sincerely, Candice for Everyone at Stoneledge Farm
