This might be the last week of beautiful warm weather coming up! We are always grateful that it stays a little warmer a little longer for us. But, the temperatures do have to change at some point.

In this week's shares, you will be getting the first harvest of our sweet potatoes! They are just beautiful. Sweet potatoes are not in the potato family, which is why they were able to flourish this season compared to regular potatoes. The sweet potatoes didn't have to battle the potato beetle!

*A note about the sweet potatoes: they will be coming unwashed. Since they will hold much longer unwashed, once you wash them you will want to use them up within a few days. Or you can store the in a cool, dark dry area and they will last a few weeks for you.

And, just a reminder to Stock up on honey and maple going into the winter.  Both will keep and be a treat during the cold before we start our CSA deliveries once again next June.  We have great locally made pastas, vanilla, flours and more.  The Marketplace stock does start to run low toward the end of the season so please place your orders early to make sure you receive the products you would like.  Member Login

Best,

Candice, for everyone at the farm
