Fruit Share Members: Please bring a bag to pick up your fruit. You will have to count out how many you are supposed to take from the box.
Dear CSA Member, The weather has been a little challenging these past few days. We had a few inches of rain in just two days... that is a lot to absorb over just two days. We are waiting for a little dry stretch to get the rest of our fall crops transplanted into the fields. Once they are planted that is it for plants for the season. We started in February and will be ending this week. That's a long stretch of seeding, and transplanting! This week you will be getting some more sweet peppers in your box and I wanted to remind you that sweet peppers come in different shapes and colors ranging from light green, dark green, and even purple! We hope you enjoy the harvest! FALL FARM VISIT: The Fall Farm Visit will take place on Saturday, September 2nd. from 11:30 AM - 3 PM 145 Garcia Lane, Leeds NY 12451. It is a great day to come to the farm and see how your vegetables are grown, meet your farmers, and walk the fields. We have the grill hot and will have pulled pork sandwiches, Stoneledge vegetarian chili (made by Kim and Mickael of Paradis to Go as well as grilled Sweet Corn. We will also have Stoneledge Farm Coffee and water available as well. We ask that members bring a dish to share so that lunch is a giant potluck get-together. If possible, please bring your place settings, utensils, and cup. We will also have our pick-your-own flower patch available. Bring a pair of scissors and pick the biggest bouquet you can!
