Dear CSA Member, We have been getting some generous rain these past few days and it looks like more is in the forecast. The plants are soaking it up. We have had such a drought for the month of June we really needed some rain. New in your share this week will be sugar snap peas! These will NOT be in your box so please make sure to take a loose basket out of a flat when picking up. We are always thrilled to harvest these tasty little treats! Please watch this link if you are unsure how to peel and prepare the sugar snap pea! Keep in mind they can be eaten raw or cooked. You will also be getting Amaranth in your shares this week. Please use the produce ID below to help unpack your box this week. Don't forget! The marketplace is open. Currently, we have garlic scapes available in bulk. These always tend to be a favorite for members. If you are interested in making a batch of garlic scape pesto now is the time! If you need help logging into your account please contact the farm.

Storing Tips:
Lettuce / Endive / Spinach- Rinsed in a well-drained salad spinner in the refrigerator.
Kale / Endive / Spinach / Amaranth- In a damp cloth in the refrigerator OR in a well-drained salad spinner in the refrigerator.
Garlic Scapes- In the refrigerator crisper drawer.
Summer Squash- In the refrigerator crisper drawer.
Things To Remember:
Fruit Shares begin the fifth week of delivery.
Bulk Mushrooms- 12 pm the FRIDAY before your delivery.
All other Marketplace Items- 1 pm the day before your delivery.
