Week #4 (Even Pickup Week)

1- bunch Beets with Greens

4- Garlic Scapes

1- bunch Spinach

1- head Red Butter-Crunch Lettuce

1- head Green Leaf Lettuce

1- head Frisee (great addition to a salad!)

1- bunch Mizuna

1- bunch Green Curly Kale

1- head Napa Cabbage (great for stuffing!)

Optional Shares

Mushroom: Shiitake Grown by Bulich Mushroom Farm

Featured Marketplace Items

  • Hudson Valley Vinegar- Made in Valatie NY

  • NYS seed oils- Made in the Finger Lakes NY (Great for making salad dressing)

Storing Tips:

  • Greens/Lettuces- Rinsed in a well-drained salad spinner or wrapped in a damp cloth in the refrigerator.

  • Garlic Scapes- In the refrigerator crisper drawer.

  • Beets- Rinsed and stored in the refrigerator crisper drawer.

  • Cabbage- Covered in the refrigerator crisper drawer.

To Freeze/ Preserve:

  • Beets, Spinach, Kale

How to blanch produce to Click Here for freeze for a later date.

Not to Freeze, and Use Up:

  • Lettuces, Garlic Scapes, Mizuna, Cabbage
